- A cell is like this house...
- The Owner of the house is like a nucleus because they are the ones who control the cell/house
- The front door is like the cell membrane because both control what gets in and out
- The kitchen is like the chloroplast because both provide food and energy for the cell/people in the house
- The wall is like the cell wall because both protect the parts of the house/organelles from getting destroyed
- The electricity is like the mitochondria because the mitochondria provides energy for the cell to keep it running while the electricity keeps the house running
- The large vacuole is like the basement because both store unneeded items. And like the basement provides support for the house, the large vacuole provides support for the plant and holds it up.
- The bathroom is like the lysosomes because both dispose of waste
- The yard and foundation of the house is like the cytoplasm. The cytoplasm is the foundation of the cell and keeps all the organelles in place just like the yard and foundation of the house keep all the rooms and components in place
