As you can see, they are depicting the ion-dipole attraction and they are also using their brotherhood to represent that Ion-dipole is the strongest attraction. Nice representation!
Me and my brother are the ion-dipole group and I am the Water, a dipole and I will be dissolved to my brother.
They are the ion-dipole because Water which is a polar compound is mixed in an ionic compound NaCl forming the attraction.
While I am the Chlorine, a dipole and together, we are the Hydrogen Chloride
This time, they are representing the dipole-dipole attraction by using the bond of their friendship.
Hello, me and my bestie represent the dipole-dipole attraction, and I am the Hydrogen molecule, a dipole.
They are the dipole-dipole because when they are bonded together, they create a partial negative charge on the Chlorine atom and a partial positive charge on the Hydrogen atom creating a dipole-dipole attraction.
Together, we formed Hydrogen fluoride which is an example of Hydrogen bonding.
Hydrogen bonding occurs when hydrogen is bonded to these elements: Nitrogen, Oxygen, Fluorine
