- Hi Dan! Have you heard about the Bill of Rights that is found in Article III of the 1987 Philippine Constitution? I really like the one that mentions the Freedom of Expression.
- Yes, Mark. I like that one too. Section 4 states that "no law shall be passed abridging the freedom of speech, of expression, of of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and petition the government for redress of grievances."

- As a student journalist, I value this right. This protects me from oppression when I speak up. Also, it is a way to protect democracy in our country.

- Not exactly. The Constitution divides power between different branches: the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. Each branch has specific responsibilities to ensure balance and prevent any one person or group from having too much power.

- Professor, I'm still not sure I understand the Philippine Constitution. It's so long and complicated!
- The Bill of Rights guarantees our fundamental freedoms, like freedom of speech, religion, and assembly. It also protects us from unfair treatment by the government.
