- how does the air density and air pressure change with altitute?
- When the air pressure decreases while the altitude increases that is because of the density and depth of the atmosphere
- My teacher asked me what does conduction mean but i didnt know, so do you know?
- For example, the coffee mug is conducting heat from the coffee.
- Conduction is when the temperature changes and the heat is transmitted through an object
- Oh, how I adore the kitchen, where you can cool by cooking and baking the things you adore! Speaking of cooling, did you know that as the colder air passes and fills the space left by the heated water, the water vapor rises into it?
- Exosphere - thermosphere- mesosphere - stratosphere - troposphere
- indeed i did and do you know what we call this? We call it convection! what is convection you might ask. well it is when there are warmer areas of liquid or gas which colder areas take place of where the warm areas were
- Yes! Its called radiation, its a form of energy that travels at the speed of light and does not need matter to travel through. Thats why the sun is a form of radiation.
- The sun's radiation is beaming down on people in the parking lot, do you know the reason for this?
- Because warm air is less dense than cool air so it rises higher.
- But also the ionosphere is a chain of areas that take parts of the mesosphere and thermosphere where there is high energy radiation from the sun.
- Now lets talk about the 5 layers of the atmosphere, radiation presents ionosphere
- For convection it presents troposphere do you know why that is?
