- I'm caught on my own land, when my men come to release us, you will wish you hadn't beem caught poaching on a neighbor's land. Shame on you.
- Trapped. What a joke! Ulrich von Gradwitz trapped in his stolen forest. That's justice for you!
- Both men found themselves helpless and injured on the ground covered with blood, both cursing eachother out and hoping death to one another. Each of them hoping that their men would arrive first to achieve the satisfaction of killing their rival.

- We will fight this quarrel out to the death, you and I and our men, with no cursed interlopers to come between us. Death and damnation to you, Ulrich Von Gradwitz
- How would everyone stare and gossip if we rode into the market square together. I think I have changed my mind about things, too, this last half-hour. You offered me you wine flask... Ulrich Von Gradwitz, I will be your friend.

- Are you sure that your men will find much to release? I also have men in the forest tonight who are close behind me, and, they will be here first and do the releasing. When they drag me out from under these damned branches, they might be clusmy enough to roll this trunk right on top of you. Your men will find you dead under a fallen beech tree.
