Quarter 3 Book Report

Elizabeth Smart, the author and main character, and her mom go shopping one day in Salt Lake City, and find a man on the street asking for money.
Months later, in June of 2002, the man breaks into her home and kidnaps her, taking her to his camp in the mountains.
Elizabeth learns the mans name is Brian David Mitchell. She is held captive in the camp with his wife Wanda Barzee.Brian wants Elizabeth to be his second wife, and believes he is a prophet from God.
Brian David Mitchell decided he wanted to move their camp to someplace warmer for the winter. He decided to bring everyone to California. When Elizabeth went out in public, he made her wear large robes and cloths over her face.
They eventually move back to Salt Lake City months later. Brian David Mitchell still makes Elizabeth wear her face covering in public. One day, someone calls 911, and reports that they possibly found Elizabeth.
Elizabeth confesses that she IS Elizabeth Smart, and the police arrest Brian and Wanda. Elizabeth is taken home and reunited with her parents after 9 months. Brian David Mitchell was sentenced to life in prison, and Wanda got 15 years
