Problem:Many students who are food insecure are more likely to have lower diet quality, which is linked to poor concentration and lower academic performance. The studies showed an increase in fast food and they found that one of the obstacles to eating healthy on campus was having limited access to healthy food on campus (67%).
Solution: A Grocery Swipe card program would provide students with a set of funds each semester t buy groceries on campus. This program makes sure that students have consistent access to healthy food. This also reduces food insecurity. With access to good nutrition, students can concentrate I class and maintain their physical and mental health.
