- One day, Lencho was hopeful and had predicted that there'll be a good amount of rain that year and just as he believed, there was rain and and Lencho exclaimed..
- These aren't raindrops from the sky, they are new coins!
- Suddenly a strong wind started to blow along with large hailstones which progressed into a bad hailstorm that destroyed all the corn. Lencho was filled with sadness now.
- A plague of locusts would have left more than this. The hail left nothing. This year we will have no corn. All our work, for nothing. There's no one who can help us. We'll all go hungry this year.
- Then Lencho thought about his only hope, God. In the letter he asked God for 100 pesos for his loss and dropped it into the mailbox.
- To God
- The postman sees the letter and shows it to the postmaster who appreciates Lencho's faith. But in order to not shake Lencho's faith in God, the postmaster and the employees gathered parts of their salaries but couldn't make it to 100 pesos.
- God
- I could gather only 70 pesos from all of us.
- God : Of the money i have asked, only seventy pesos reached me. Send me the rest, since I need it very much. But don't send it through the mail because the postoffice employees are a bunch of crooks, Lencho
- Lencho came back to check if he had received a letter and saw the letter. He gets mad after he counted the money. Then he starts writing another letter and posts it.
- To God
- But Lencho went back wanting to ask about God and saw the postmaster and the postman conversing about his letter and how he felt bad about not being able to help Lencho and went to them..
- So God helped me through these amazing people..
- Thanks you for wanting to help me, sir. I really appreciate your efforts and sorry for responding like that. I would like to work here as an office cleaner and earn well to feed my family. Your words encouraged me. Thank you, sir.
