During the first scene Troy is unsupportive about Lyons always following his dreams of pursuing music because its not a regularly paying job. And now that Lyons is requesting for money Troy gets upset because he wants him to have his own job and earn his own money instead of always "borrowing" from him. Since Lyons is his son he gives in and allows Lyons to take the money from Rose's hand and walk off.

Troy what is wrong with you this morning? Don't nothing set right with you.
I got his practice ....running out of here before he gets his chores done.
Troy is uneasy because he doesn't believe that his son should be focusing more on futbal than on his daily chores. Rose on the other hand backs up her own son because she sympathizes for him.

Come on Pop! I got Practice. I cant work and play Football at the same time.
I don't care what nobody else say. Im the boss....
In this scene we can interpret that Troy doesn't treat Corry with as much softness as he did with Lyons because Troy con still make sure that Corry gets a real job. He worries that Cory will regret his decision to pursue Football because he doesn't want what happened to him in the past to happen to Cory. Troy tries to put Corry down in order to change his mind in getting his old job back.
