Sam felt like the most miserable person in the world. He wanted to apologise to his Mum and Dad for acting out. So, he walked up the thick oak stairs and headed for his parent’s room. Sam’s face was as red as a tomato. Sam noticed a fairly big cut on Dad’s finger. Anger boiled inside him. Instead of apologising Sam yelled at his Dad, “you couldn’t get the cookies so you smashed the jar and accidently cut your finger!” Sam didn’t believe his Dad when he said that Frankie bit his finger on accident while playing catch in the room.
Sam gave Dad a tremendously tight headlock and tugged him down the stairs out to the backyard. The rest of the family followed. The tension built up as Sam stared into everyone eyes. Sam pointed at Zac, “it has to be you, there was cookie crumbs on your bed!” “Wait, it has to be you Dad, no one saw you playing with the dog!” Frankie whimpered softly. Sam bent over to calm her down. Out of nowhere Frankie vomited all over Sam. Cookie vomit or as Sam would put it guilt vomit. The crumbs on the bed were from Frankie and Dad was telling the truth. They left Sam alone flooded with shame and embarrassment.
