Melanie jumped out of the helicopter and looked over the glassy lake but only saw few birds. She thought maybe they could be hiding or sleeping. Melanie turned to see her dad talking with the park ranger and knew this was her chance so she darted into the woods

Melanie could hear her fathers call but didn't care she ran deeper and deeper into the woods. She finally came across the other side of the pond and low and behold a flamingo the most beautiful thing shes every seen. Now she could hear her father even closer now calling. She knew this was her only chance to touch the flamingo. She reached her hand out and the flamingo flopped over she but her hand on its wing it felt cold and hard she could feel the tears pouring from her eyes like rain drops from the sky, she knew the flamingo was fake.

The care taker went on to say how beutiful the bird were but do to people getting really close to the water they posioned it/ Melanie stoped crying now she heard what the caretaker had said. as her dad and the caretaker turned to leave she picked up the fake plastic bird and whispered, Goodbye. and turned to leave
