- Jordan: I’m stuck on this assignment. Why does the Church care so much about families? How does that actually help the common good?

- Misha: Check YOUCAT 261. It says marriage isn't just a legal contract but a sacramental covenant. It’s a holy promise sealed by God.
- Jordan: Huh, so it’s not just "Oh I'm bored of this this marriage". It’s a literal vocation or calling from God.

- Jordan: Right. And for that promise to be real, it has to be free, total, faithful, and fruitful.
- Misha: Exactly. You give 100%, you stay loyal, you aren't forced, and you're open to having kids. That's a huge commitment.

- Misha: CCC 2207 says the family is the first school of social life. It’s where you actually learn compassion and how to treat people right.
- Jordan: So by supporting families, we’re practicing solidarity with the whole community.

- Misha: Even the Bible says it. Genesis 2:24 (NRSV) says a man and wife become one flesh. That's why the Church says it's indissoluble. It's a bond that shouldn't be broken.
