Fie! A new tax on sugar. Well that's certainly a drag, as a grocer myself. Good thing I don't solely sell sugar based goods. Nor do I regularly drink rum.

Another tax?! This new Stamp Act taxes every single thing I sell and buy! What am I going to do? Purchase is what my job is all about.

I'm starting to get tired of the British always controlling us. They have no right to tax us these amounts. I'll go to the city to find more about this.

These taxes from Britain must stop!
It's nice to see that there are others who have the same feelings as me. I won't join them though. I read in the paper that there are officials monitoring the act.
Down with the Stamp Act! Taxation without representation will not be tolerated!

Well, there they are. The redcoats have arrived. I think they've come to quiet this protest down.

Wait a minute, why are these soldiers armed? They surely won't attack, right?

How will I ever recover after seeing all that? Hopefully the wounded heal soon. Curse the bloody British! Curse those who took innocent lives! Some day there will be a nation where these incidents never happen - the land of the free!
