Your biological clock or SCN is what regulates your circadian rhythm; it's composed of specific molecules (proteins) that interact with cells throughout the body. Nearly every tissue and organ contains biological clocks. Researchers have identified similar genes in people, fruit flies, mice, plants, fungi, and several other organisms that make the clocks’ molecular components.
Circadian rhythms influence important functions in our body such as hormone release, eating habits and digestion, and body temperature
This is why I try and and sleep at the same time every night, making sure to reduce my intake of light earlier in the evening!
People mostly notice the effects of circadian rhythm on their sleep patterns. The Suprachiasmatic Nucleus (SCN) controls the production of melatonin, the sleep hormone, from the pineal gland. It bases the amount of melatonin produced by the amount of light it receives through optic nerves.

Our innate cycle is not exactly 24 hours, so our biological clocks must reset daily to sync with the Earth’s rotation. Because of this, and because each person’s light-dark exposure is different depending on habits and location, the timing of our biological clock is difficult to measure

Circadian Rhythm's are very sensitive so make sure to try and limit light exposure (including phone light) before bed and generally go to bed around similar times
