- Dad, why are there so many people who don't have enough food to eat? Can't the rich people just buy food and give it to everyone?

- Well, they could do that, but they're too greedy.
- Gleiten: 4
- What makes them greedy?
- Gleiten: 5
- Well, I suppose it's just the system we live in.
- Gleiten: 6
- What system is that?
- Gleiten: 7
- Capitalism. It makes people want more than they need, and then there's nothing left for everyone else.

- That sounds really bad. How come we don't just make more so everyone gets some?

- Well, there's not enough for everyone...

- ... the Earth only has so many resources.
- Gleiten: 11
- So, what happens when they run out? Does the world end

- They already are running out.

- ... there are a lot of resources that are really low right now, and it's really bad for the earth...

- ... there's a lot of pollution in the air now, and lots of animals don't have homes anymore.

- WELL, WHY ISN'T ANYONE DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT?

- The rich people don't care.

- I'm not rich! So, what can I do?

- There's a lot of stuff we're already doing...

- ... your mom and I try to shop responsibly so that we're buying sustainable products...

- ... and whenever we can, we trade stuff with the neighbors instead of buying something new.

- Ooh! And I recycle!

- Exactly! That helps a lot!

- But what else? I want to do something more.

- ... there's this community fridge that was just put in downtown...

- ... you can put food in there, and people who need it can come get it for free.

- Of course! Why don't we do that today!

- I'd love that!

- But that won't solve the problem for the rest of the world.

- No, it won't, but it will help.

- Honestly, we'll probably never see the problem get "fixed"...

- ...capitalism just isn't sustainable, and one day it will probably fail and collapse on itself...

- ...but if we do our part, we can create a foundation for a better system to grow when capitalism falls.

- I'm going to make the strongest foundation ever!
