- 3: Overproduction of Offspring
- Sharks are very populated in the Ocean. There is competition for food with all of sharks and whales with competition over food and mates. There different colors are like all white, grey, and dark blue. Their environment is surrounded by other fish and turtles and things usually found in ocean.
- 4: Competition & Natural Selection
- Genetic variation is shown in many ways by the color varying in all the sharks. The genes vary going through the generations which the blue shark will probably be the adaptation trait because it can blend in.
- 5: Adaptation
- The weather gets could out on top but under the water the weather doesn't change that much other than slight change in temperature. Overproduction and adaptation leads to more dark blue sharks because they are predators and can blend in some places that the other ones can't.
- Evolution Has Occured
- The darker sharks look different to some predators and can kind of camouflage themselves. The white sharks are easy for predators to see in the corals and stuff, so they can be prey and predators at the same time. Usually sharks will compete with each other or others over food and thigns like that,
- White sharks were most likely to be hunted by bigger predators because they didn't blend in that well. The sharks had to adapt to the environment and that's why there is more dark blue sharks then grey because they can blend in and camouflage, while some grey sharks come from some generations.
- Evolution occurs in many different ways with many different organism. It takes time but with natural selection, competition, and adaptation, evolution occurs through different species and that is why almost all of sharks are dark blue because the population of sharks adapted to the environment.
