Hi everybody, prior to this lesson, I was only aware that anthropology was the study of humans over time.

After this lesson, I learned that there are 4 fields of anthropology and each field has more subfields. The 4 main fields of anthropology include archeology, biological, linguistic, and cultural. Archeology is the study of human culture through their remains. Biological anthropology is the ways humans are similar and different from animals. Linguistic anthropology is how humans use language and symbols to communicate. Finally, cultural anthropology is the beliefs that people have about their social life and the materialistic world around them.I also learned about the anthropological perspectives, which includes relativistic, empirical, adaptationist, and comparative views.

Aside from the 4 fields and perspectives in anthropology, I learned that anthropologists have an unlimited amount of content to learn and are always busy with the past and present change in humans. Forensic anthropology allows anthropologists to analyze the bones of the deceased and determine their behavior and health from when they were alive.
