Well, the progressives were Jane Addams, Eugene Debs, Teddy Roosevelt, W.E.B Dubois,Upton Sinclair, and Jacob Rills.
Really, that's a lot of people. So why did they begin the movement?
Yea it is, they started the movement as a response to the political, social, and economic problems that were created by the industrialization.

Interesting, were they successful? What were the objectives they achieved? Were they supported?
Yes they were, some things they did were they achieved the 17th amendment, which made senators voted in NY popular vote
They also had some cities hire city managers to over see daily operations, They created a central banking system, they also achieved protection for workers, and better working conditions.
They supported it because they were trying to counteract the negatives of the industrialization.

So what were there failures, if any?
The Progressive movement ultimately failed and ended when it was taken over by other movements.
With their victories, they lost momentum to keep pushing for more, and other movements who were eager to keep pushing took over.
Wow! Thank you for educating me on a very interesting subject.
