- I think I am pregnant and about eight weeks along!
- Yes you are pregnant, but only six weeks. That happens sometimes!
- Gleiten: 2
- I am so excited!
- Me too! We are having a baby!
- Gleiten: 3
- Oh my gosh, this nausea needs to end! It is awful...
- Gleiten: 4
- My leg is really hurting, I wonder if I slept on it wrong. It kind of has a purple color though. If its still hurting after work, Ill go to the ER.
- Gleiten: 5
- Okay, my leg is really hurting now and its hurting to walk. Im heading over to the ER right now.
- Gleiten: 6
- What do we do now and is my baby okay, this is scary!
- After getting your ultrasound done on your leg, it looks like you have a blood clot in a pretty tricky spot!
- Gleiten: 7
- Okay, this is all so upsetting! I don't know how this happened!
- Not to worry, your baby is okay, we just have to be aggressive with blood thinners to avoid a pulmonary embolism. We will take it day by day.
- Gleiten: 8
- I am still hurting, but really scared at the same time!
- Hi, I am your nurse for tonight, how are we feeling?
- Gleiten: 9
- Wow, thank you, I felt so alone with the doctor!
- I completely understand, I can stay for a while for distraction, give you a hug, or even talk. I want to make sure you feel good physically and mentally!
- Gleiten: 10
- Thank you, its my first baby too, so I just want to make sure they are safe too.
- I know, they are busy and are not very personable, I see this is your first time in the hospital. I want you to know we will take good care of you.
- Gleiten: 11
- Oh yes! I am ready to grow this baby out of a hospital! I did not expect this to happen at 13 weeks, but I am glad I had you as a nurse!
- It looks like your levels are good now! Are you ready to go home? It has been a long four days for you!
- Gleiten: 12
- 36 weeks came by so fast! Because you have a chronic blood clot and are on blood thinners, we will have to induce you in two weeks.
- Okay, I guess I have to be ready!
- Gleiten: 13
- Tomorrow is the big day, are we ready?
- I am as ready as I can be!
- Gleiten: 14
- Yes, I am nervous though because I don't know what to expect!
- Hi, I will be your nurse today, are you ready to have a baby?
- Gleiten: 15
- Okay, thank you for being here for me!
- Don't worry, I will walk you through the entire process, and then the doctor will come in at the end to deliver once babies head is ready!
- Gleiten: 16
- This really hurts!!
- It's time to start pushing; you got this, ready?
- Gleiten: 17
- Great job, mom! Here is your baby boy! We will get you all cleaned up and moved to postpartum!
- Gleiten: 18
- Hi, I am your postpartum nurse, we will take care of you for the next 24 hours here, helping you and baby!

- Yay! We are headed home!
- Gleiten: 20
- I really loved the care that those nurses gave me and the entire experience. Maybe being a doctor isn't for me... I think I am going to change my major.
- Gleiten: 21
- ACCEPTED!
- YAY! I graduate with my bachelors in two weeks (December 2024) and got accepted into a second degree nursing program! Lets see where life takes us now!
