Storyboard-Text

  • Okay, so the first thing I can say about planets is that they are celestial bodies that orbit around the sun. Some planets have moons, such as Earth, as I saw earlier. These moons are smaller celestial bodies that orbit around the planet. Jupiter, at my right, has 79 moons!
  • 2 hours later...
  • From my quick look, I saw that the planets are made of different materials such as rock, gas or ice. For example, Earth is a rocky planet, while Jupiter is a gas planet.
  • And after a quick look, I counted 8 planets in the solar system: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.
  • To prove the second law, I do want to see it myself. But when I interrupted physics class to say the laws, I feel like those weren't my words. So in my words, Kepler's second law states that a planet moves faster when it is closer to the sun and slower when it is farther away, but it always covers the same area at any position.
  • I am too lazy to move around to see it, but the first law it is 100% true as planets do move around the sun in elliptical orbits. However, some planets take longer to make these orbits.
  • Wait, the homework is for physics class, so I feel like I should prove if the Kepler's laws are true, because Kepler's laws are technically physics. I still somehow remember the laws, so I should try.
  • Jimmy proved Kepler's second law with Mars.
  • Now, I am going to wait for about 2 hours to see if the area and velocity change when Mars is closer to the sun.
  • Right now, my special machine is telling me that Mars is covering an area of 144.8 million km^2. And it is moving at a velocity of 22.203 km per second. I'm so grateful that I can move fast in space.
