- hi, I am making this letter because I am sending money for the war, and so this money can be for the American rebels.

- Beaumarchais sent a letter to Grimaldi, talking about he was gonna send some money to the American colonists to fight against England.
- Grimaldi answered back very quickly, the money would harm the American rebels, he sent 1m french soldiers and because he doesn't like them, but he hates England more.
- We ought to want the English and to exhaust themselves,
- Spain was secretly was making payments from colonists, they kept doing that throughout the Revolutionary war. Grimaldi worked at the start of the war.
- Grimaldi and Floridablanca were not enthusiastic supporters of the American rebels and their fight for independence.
