- White-hot triumps races through me. this shows personification cause it is giving white-hot triumph the ability to race through something. And this shows that she is secretly happy about drew being really hurt.
- The truth is Albert is now exploring an unknown, uncertain place. He leaped in vicious waters to get there.
- Anger builds inside me, replacing my blood with bitter water, consuming me. this shows personification because it shows bitter water consuming her which is a human action. This is important cause it shows that she is really mad about what AL, Peter, and Drew did to her.

- Guilt as a tool, not a weapon against the self. This is a simile because it is comparing guilt to a weapon. This is important because it shows that tris is feeling very guilty and also thinking about her old factions rules even though they dont apply.
