- It was a warm spring morning. The pond in our yard glistened under theSun. There was a light fog was starting to lift as Braden came out to feedTracker and Ashoka, when he heard baby birds chirping in a nearby tree.

- "Ashoka! Ashoka! help!
- Braden and Tacker walked under the branches of the appletree and Braden started to climb
- TRACKER! BE QUITE!
- "BARK, BARK!
- WhileBraden was climbing from one limb to the next, his foot slipped from the slimybark and instantly found himself dangling by one hand grasping a thin branch! Withinseconds he found himself falling, hitting each limb as he came crashing down tothe hard ground.

- “Oh no!”Tracker said as he started to panic. “What do I do…. what do I do…. what do Ido. Stay. Go. Stay-go!” Tracker made up his mind “Go!” He runs straight to Ashoka.“Ashoka! Ashoka! I think Braden is broken! What should we do? I hope you know what to do because I sure don’t,” Tracker said panting from worry.
- Tracker ran to the farmhouse’s front door and began barking ferociously to get someone to come out! The curly blond-haired one poked her head outside. She looked around to see what he was barking at and saw nothing. She shook her finger at him, “Bad Dog! Be quiet!”Then slammed the door.
- Then Tracker thought to himself, “If I bark again someone will come out to tell me to be quiet, but this next time I will tug at their pants and drag them to Braden. Then they will help him.”
