- You slow peasant get off the road!!!
- Now you must die for that!!
- What walks on 4 legs in the morning, 3 at lunch but 2 in the evening?? you must answer correct to survive and enter the kingdom
- Is the answer a man??
- So there's rewards?? You should've said that earlier! Who doesn't love rewards?? I WILL
- Will you marry me? Ever since the king died i've been by my lonesome, they have offered incentives in order to marry me?
- Oedipus is walking to Thebes, and suddenly, King Laius is in a carriage with a group of servants. The king complains about the person walking too slow. Oedipus is insulted and kills the old man and the servants he was with, which ended up being King Latius.
- It was you, you killed King Latius!!!
- No! I refuse to believe this.
- Oedipus approaches Thebes. He is then welcomed by a Sphinx that wants to kill him. So she offers him a life or death, enter or die riddle. The Sphinx wants Oedipus to answer her riddle. Oedipus accepts the challenge and answers correctly. The Sphinx is mad at Oedipus for correctly answering the riddle and then, decides to throw herself off the nearest cliff.
- Well I forgot to tell you one thing....
- I don't believe i would be capable of such heinous crimes!!
- The Sphinx is so angry that Oedipus could figure out the answer to the riddle that she kills herself. The Thebans, not knowing it is Oedipus who killed King Latius, reward him with an offer of marriage to Jocasta the Queen.
- NOOOO!!!!
- gOedipus soon after, maries the queen and they have children together and he is then crowned the king. Later on, the city is attacked by a plague. He then sends Creon to go investigate and find the oracle. Creon comes back to inform the King that it was causes by a pollution in the form of the being who killed King Latius. He wanted to find out who killed the king but nbody knew the old king. He soon after goes to Tiresias to ask who killed King Latius
- Jocasta is basically telling Oedipus that his father was actually killed at a 3-way crossroads, he then realizes that it might be him that killed the king, and he tells Jocasta that long ago he was the king of Corinth and on the way t Thebes, is where the altercation may have occured.
- Recently learning the truth, a messenger arrives with the sole survivor of the attack made by Oedipus. The survivor is the same one that carried Oedipus when his parents abandoned him. Knowing this, Oedipus realizes that the prophecy came true, he then blinded himself then cried out in pain and regret.
