Sorry to call you crying and asking if you can come to the library but I need to update you on what's happening.
So a while ago I was sexually abused by someone I know. I was scared to tell you but it happened again towards my sister.
OMG! You shouldn't be scared to tell me anything, you know I'll always be here for you no matter what.

According to the National Library of Medicine, between 40% and 60% of all rape victims are under the age of 18, and most are adolescents. It is estimated that two-thirds of minors who have experienced sexual abuse were 12 to 17 years old when it first occurred. Women aged 16 to 19 are 4 times more likely to be sexually assaulted than women in all other age groups

On a scale of 1 - 5, how aware are you about the injustice of sexual abuse against children and teenagers?

When I surveyed some Cerritos College students, everyone who took the survey was aware of sexual abuse against children and teenagers. However, 60% of students was not fully aware of the injustice at hand. So part of my purpose will be to make them more aware of this.
