Hi everyone! Today I’m chatting with actress Lara Neale about her new movie “Whatever You Say”, coming out in Summer 2025.So Lara, how did you get ready for this role?
Since I’m the same age as my character—seventeen—it wasn’t too hard to connect with her. But her school life is really different from mine, so I read a lot of blogs from other teen girls to understand their experiences better.
What was it like working with Sofia Coppola?
It was incredible. I’ve always loved her movies, especially how well she shows female emotions and stories. She was also super kind and made both Violet and me feel really welcome on set.

That’s really interesting! Did you and your co-star Violet become friends off set?
Yes, definitely! We clicked right away because we had so much in common. Violet’s amazing—I’m really glad I got to work with her.
Can you describe the movie in three words?
Heartfelt, nostalgic, and friendship.

And last question—what’s your favorite backstage memory?
Probably just hanging out with Violet. After long days, we’d relax in our trailers and watch movies together. It was always a good time.
