A- The attitude or tone is reflective and reverent. The poem uses many dashes for pausing, reflecting and reverence. The author obviously has respect for God's power.
S- The shift is in the third stanza. The brain goes from being powerful to comparatively insignificant. The first two stanzas start out saying the brain is wider and deeper so ir is more than the things it is compared to. Yet, in the third stanza, the brain is just simple and plain.
T- The title balances the respect for God with the appreciation for our amazing brains. The title is gratitude that we have intelligent brains that has the capability to be wider than the sky. Yet, in the grand scheme, as you continue the poem we are humbled to know it is a plain brain.
T- The poem "The brain- is wider than the sky" is about our eternal existence. Dickenson says that we are a small almost insignificant life in the eternities, yet God blessed us to have a wide, capable brain and we should be grateful to Him for it.
