- The two boys were sleeping and woke up to Dally standing there and he said, " wake up we are leaving."

- Dally and the boys were on there way back to the church.
- Dally and the boys got to the church, the church was on fire, and a few school children wandered inside.
- Ponyboy and Johnny without thinking rushed into the fire to save the children.
