  • Jelly! Jelly lives in the water. He doesn't have a backbone. Jelly moves around by contracting and relazing his muscles. He has tiny stingers that he touches his prey with when he is hungry and it kills the animal.
  • Okay Kids, lets meet my friends! First up, my friends called invertebrates! An invertabrate is an animal that does not have a backbone.
  • Here are two of my friends that are examples of invertabrates...
  • Here is my friend, Shelby. He is a snail and is also an invertebrate. He also moves by pushing muscles in his feet. He gets his food by crawling oer ricks and collecting algae to eat.
  • Today Edward the Bat is going to take you around Dallas and tell you about all his animal friends! It is going to be such a fun day!
  • Hey Kids! I'm Edward! Welcome to Dallas, home of me and all my animals friends! I am so happy to meet you!
  • This is an Animal Cell. All animals have these! Animals are made up of these. Each Animal Cell is specialized to do its own job! Animals are different than other life forms because their cells do not have cell walls.
  • Okay kids, before I introduce you to everyone, let me tell you a little bit about us animals.
  • For example, Miss Piggy will eat Wheat or Corn....
  • Now, animals have to eat too! Unlike most humans, they have to hunt for their food if people are not feeding them. Different animals eat different things!
  • ... while Dory the Flamingo might have something like small seeds or even algae.
