- This is an example of Verbal irony because he said he loves him but ended up killing him and in real life if you truly love someone you wouldn't hurt them.
- This is a example of Dramatic Irony because the officers did not know the old mans body was underneth the floor board and in real life if there was a detective he or she would have found it.
- This is an example of Situational Irony because the narrator was nice to the officers after ending the old mans life and in real life he would have been panicking.
