- Hi i'm Mr.Cucumber, today we will be learning about the digestive system!
- First the mouth grinds down the food adding saliva to it
- The oesophagus is the tube that leads into the stomach
- Next i travel down the oesophagus at the speed of lightning!
- The stomach has acid and enzymes in it that digest the food
- Once I get into the stomach I have a very hot bath!
- Next the food goes into the small intestine where it's mixed with digestive juices and some of the water is absorbed
- Then i go in to a long windy tube where i get hit around.
- After that the food goes into the large intestine where more water is absorbed and turns the food from a liquid into a solid
- After that I go through another long windy tube! This bit's quite boring.
- Finally the feces gets released through the anus
