- The Egyptians cut the papyrus reeds and carried them to the village in thier boat

- AHH WHY MUST YOU STRIP ME
- The Egyptians stripped the tough outer layer from the papyrus reed
- I DONT WANT TO BE THIS FLAT
- They cut the inner strip into long thin pieces
- They lay the papyrus pieces in a linen cloth moistened it and then put another piece of linen on top
- AHH WHY
- They pounded the pieces with a mallet for a long time, working sap from the papyrus into glue to hold the paper together

- STOP POUNDING ME
- Finally the papyrus got turned into a paper scroll
- Ah great, now i look like this. BUT I WANT TO BE GREEN
