- I need all this power, I run this church.. I am the pope and I think I should have all the power.
- I want more power because you are a pope and you have all the power. I need more power
- I want to make the emperor have no power and get him excommunicated.
- The pope has too much power, I must get him out.
- The pope was literally sent by god, we should praise him!
- I think the pope should have more power.
- This is not fair. they need to be equal.
- This needs to end.
- I think that the emperor should have more power.
- The pope and the emperor had conflict on who should get the most power. The pope wanted the most power because he ran the church, the emperor wanted more power because he ran the community. At the time, the pope had more power because people thought that the popes were sent by god to teach.
- I am going to go talk to him.
- I need to have more power because I rule this place, it would be a diasater without me. He barley does anything around here.
- There has been a lot of arguing and I think that i want to split the power evenly
- The pope did not want to emperor to take the power away from him, so he got the emperor excommunicated, and the emperor wanted to get the pope excommunicated too. People listened to the pope more than the emperor and the emperor did not like that. The emperor thought that he was being over looked.
- I think that that is a great idea
- The people were now getting involved and mostly everybody had an opinion on who should have more power. Conflict started between people or families. A lot of people wanted to pope to have full power because he was sent down by god. By that they thought he had more knowledge.
- Ok guys! lets take a vote on who should be able to have more power and to elect bishops.
- The emperor did not like how the pope had most of the power, so he went to go find the pope to talk for fair power. People praised the pope because they thought that he was sent by god on a mission to teach. The pope and the emperor fought about who could make a bishop a bishop.
- They thought and compromised everything to be equal and fair. They split everything in half and the fights ended, but opinions still took place. Even thought they had equal power, the popes would always have the most power because they were looked at as messengers from god.
- Times still were not fully fair because people thought of popes as almost gods, and that will never change. The emperor did some things like do elections, conquests, and inheritance to gain some more power. The pope always ruled over the emperor.
