- When it hit midnight, a light came down, and they became solid. It became so bright, Jonah and Mandy had to look away. When they looked back, a teenage girl and boy stood in their place.
- Mandy and Manny opened their eyes, and all was silent. Then, they burst into whispers, hugging and talking at eye level, as they couldn't do that before. They didn't want to get caught, so they agreed to take their own formal ghosts and figure out what to do in the morning.
- Olivia and Mandy snuck back into the house. Olivia realized that Mandy was actually really pretty. She was excited to do all the things best friends could do without seeming crazy. She gave Mandy the windowsill to sleep on, and Mandy fell asleep, something she hadn't done in a while.
- Olivia lent Mandy some clothes, and Jonah did the same for Manny. They told the office that they were Jonah's cousins that were twins. The four walked in the hallways, ignoring the stares they got. Think of it- the most popular boy in school hanging out with the underdog, and their two friends that no one had seen before. Weird, right!
- They walked home together, all laughing and talking. But then, Jonah stopped and told Olivia that he had to tell her something important. The truth was that he liked her, no matter what anyone said. Mandy felt saddened but put on a grin for her friend. Olivia admitted her feelings for him as well, and they decided to date.
- Everything was going well, and Olivia and Jonah were a very cute couple. They went everywhere together, to the movies to watch rom-coms, the park bench to hold hands, and eating ice cream together. Everything was perfect.
