The estates general were regathered after a long interval since 1614 . This was to solve the economic troubles. Which#160;were consequences from bad harvests and other various factors such as the king and queen's lavish spending. Not to forget, the war. In the 1770s#160; the old regime was existent and this discussion was conducted accordingly#160;to the old#160;regime. The old regime stated that each of the three states had 1 vote respectively. They decided to plow 56 million dollars into the economic crisis and retrieve it by making the third estate pay new tax. The third estate had no way to interfere with this and the irritation had surpassed the tipping point.

In Paris, people from the lower class established the national assembly-a system that provided more advantage to the 3rd estate. At the morning of October 5th, market woman from the southwest of Paris gathered up to protest for the absurd price of bread. They first went to the city hall, seizing food and weaponry. Marchers asked help from the national assembly. Secondly the people went to the palace of Versailles. They violently attacked the Palace killing at least guards. The marchers confronted the king and queen and successfully taken them to Paris, Never to see the magnificent palace again. From this event, the center chief of Government became Paris. The event also had significance in increasing the morale of the citizens towards the revolution and weakening the monarchy.
Stormed the Bastille prisonSymbol of tyrannyAround 1000 men from the Lower class besieged/stormed the Bastille prison In the aim of gathering arms and ammunition to protect themselves during the revolution. Or perhaps in the aim of saving prisoners that mainly consisted of politicians. The bastille prison contained 250 barrels of gunpowder and was a symbol of tyranny. At least 8guards were killed.

Once the ascendant leader was executed in the place la revolution after a close vote. He was put on trial in September but had lost beacuse signifcant evidence proved his counter revolutionary plans with Austria. This indicates the end of the monarch and the rise of the revolutionary radicals.
