- Set in the early 1900s, the film begins with Alfredo looking as if in deep thought and looking melancholy.Then introduces Carmen and Don Julian by the window having a conversation about Alfredo's relationship with Esperanza.
- CLIMAX
- The film rewound to eight weeks ago when Alfredo and Don Julian visited the Martinez house, where Judge Del Valle and his family reside. This is also where Alfredo met and mistook Julia for the Judge's sister. As time went by, Alfredo's visits to Julia became frequent. They conversed all day in the comfort of each other's company.
- FALLING ACTION
- Soon their affection for one another grew and grew, and because of this Esperanza's suspicions arose. When Esperanza questioned Alfredo's whereabouts after the Sunday masses, he blatantly replies with a white lie. After the minor confrontation, Alfredo attempts to confess his feelings to Julia but failed. The day after, Julia announces that she will be spending the Holy Week at her home, at her family's request. Alfredo came to see Julia one evening mass. She congratulates Alfredo, which reveals that she discovered that Alfredo is already engaged.
- RESOLUTION
- Alfredo came to see Julia one evening mass. She congratulates Alfredo, which reveals that she discovered that Alfredo is already engaged. Not long after, a heated quarrel happened between Esperanza and Alfredo, hinting at loyalty, a topic that provoked and made Alfredo restless. Esperanza walks out weeping.
- Esperanza and Alfredo's wedding was pursued, not wanting to break his promises and avoid other complications.
- Alfredo comes to Calle Luz and visits Julia one last time. He finds out that she remains umarried and pities her. They held a sad and quiet conversation. Not long after, they part ways.
