- I shall agree to signing this Petition of Rights!
- actually instead I shall agree then dissolve the parliament and rule without them for 11 years
- I need to return to you, I need money to put down a rebellion

- Charles I went to parliament because he wanted to raise taxes. Before parliament agreed they forced him to sign The Petition of Right.
