Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration

Storyboard-Text

  • This Comic Strip will go over the proccess of Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration. 1-3 is about Photosynthesis, 4-6 is about cellular respiration. Step 1: roots gather water, or H2O from the ground, and to transport the water it travels through the stem.
  • Sunlight hits the leaves as the chlorophyll capture the sunlight, and the stomata on the bottom of the leaf take in Carbon Dioxide, or C02.
  • All of the water, carbon dioxide and captured sunlight is thrown together in the chloroplast and it makes glucose. Glucose's equation is C6H12O6. And Photosynthesis' equation is C02+H2O-C6H12O6+O2 and it'll only happen in plant cells. Since plants make their own food, they are a Autotroph.
  • CO2
  • Water
  • Glucose is broken down into smaller molecules in the first stage of Cellular Respiration called Glycosis.
  • In the secong stage of Cellular Respiration, called the Krebs Cycle: Oxygen comes in and makes the molecules even smaller, a lot of energy is released during this proccess.
  • In the final stage of Cellular Respiration called the Electron Transport Train, a lot more energy is released, and the 2 byproducts of Cellular Respiration, Carbon Dioxide, and water leaves the animals' bodies by breathing out. The equation for Cellular Respiration is, C6H12O6+O2-C02+H2O. Cellular Respiration mostly occurs in animal cells, but it can also happen in plant cells. Animals' are often heterotrophs.
