Storyboard-Text

  • Hi! I'm Rick and here's my partner Rhea.
  • Hi, Today we will discuss about uniformly accelerated motion.
  • Wow, I can think many examples like sky diving, a bicycle which the brakes are engaged, and a sinking object.
  • I can see that you really pay attention. So that's all for today's discussion. Thank you for listening.
  • The uniformly accelerated motion is a motion that is characterized for having a movement in a straight line and a constant acceleration and different of zero, therefore the velocity of an object in this movement is constantly changing depending on the direction of the velocity.
  • Hmm Can you show us some example or scenario?
  • So basically it is a movement where the object is continuously changing its velocity uniformly.
  • Let's say the initial velocity of the ball is zero, and it has an acceleration of 1 meter per second every second, Basically the speed of the ball increases by 1 meter every second. Here's the illustration.
  • Think of a ball falling from a high roof.
  • That's for vertical dimension, Now for horizontal dimension it is the same concept. One of the example is a rolling ball for example it also moves at 1 meter per second every second, it's the same concept as what we discuss earlier. The speed of the ball increases by 1 meter every second.
