- When released, he was given a pair of glasses and a headset which will keep this 7 ft genius incapable of accomplishing 75 percent of normal human task, keeping him off the streets literally

- Withing the first scene we see examples of Kurt Vonnegut reflecting the suppressiveness of either the government or society as a whole. The original scene has George, the main character, as a genius who's knowledge makes him discover flaws and major overseen issues in society; Because of this, the government suppresses his knowledge using an earpiece. He is watching TV in his empty Livingroom while his brain is being "buzzed", so he is unable to process and judge the info on screen, so Kurt seems to be going after the fact that, considering this is the future, the government allows people to have access to so much information that they could tear the government itself apart. Next there is a large man named Harrison, who is also an intelligent individual, but somehow, although weakened, can outthink all restraints given by the government, and uses his time out of restraints trying to reform the government to his standards. He was being released from a long sentence , and quickly jammed into a news station, taking off his restraints, and ordering people to honor and respect him as a savior, on live TV for publicity. Meanwhile George and Hazel are petrified watching from home. Kurt seems to be saying that we are accelerating and populating the earth as a whole far too quickly, and that he speculates government-set boundaries in the future. Or maybe Kurt is going after the single fact that the government may suppresses anyone who speaks up against them; But publicize everything when speaking up or asking something of us. Issue is, unlike the government, not enough people, like the dumber people in the story, care to question the system, they live with it, and if they get too smart... Boom, earpiece.
