- The dialogue featured in this example impacts the conflict of the story because when Johnny uses his strength to tell the nurse not to send in his mom, he passes out causing his condition to get worse. Which leads to him dying.
- The dialogue in this picture represent the conflict of, Person vs. Nature. The conflict in this picture helps the story move along because when Johnny and Ponyboy run into the church they get hurt and have to go back to the hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
- The dialogue in this picture represents a Person vs. Society situation because when Dally robs the store he gets in trouble with the law. When he got in trouble with the law he went against a bunch of people to be punished.
