- Its the year 2052. Samantha, a 24 year old woman with a brain injury wakes to face the day
- Samantha: Every morning I wake up and don't know where to start. I wish that I could just jump up and put on my clothes like I used to but now I have a hard time knowing which step to take. It is a far cry from my time at Fashion Design school.
- Samantha: My new shirt from the Brain Injury society has changed my life. At first it was hard to get used to all the buzzing and notifications but now it really helps me to sequence which sleave to put on first. It even gets better with time as it learns my preferences and habits.
- Samantha: The shirt even has a special caregiver mode that allows my mom to help me get dressed when I don't feel like doing it on my own. All she has to do is make the gesture of a heart in the air and the shirt will switch modes.
- Samantha: I haven't told my design school friends about my injury yet. I am a bit worried about what they might think. But then sometimes I wonder if they would think my new shirt is interesting from a design point of view.
- Judy: Sometimes when I wake, I worry that the robot might be wrong about what clothes I should wear. I have heard of bugs in the programs and am never sure if my robot needs an update.
- Judy: Sometimes at night, also worry that something might go really wrong with the robot. What if it is hacked and is used to hurt me? But then I remind myself that these robots are programmed by people who care about helping me to dress independently.
