After Rufus died I hoped I would have been brought back home but no. I stayed where I was and made the decision to raise Joe and Hagar as my own. Even though I'm not their mother, I do my best everyday to raise them. I don't know how much time has passed but I know Hagar is now 8 and Joe 10 and I am teaching them to read and write.
Sarah and Dana are outside in front of the cooking house. They are talking about how much Dana has changed since the first time she time-traveled. Dana wants her to understand what she wants to do with her life while shes stuck here.

After Rufus died most of his slaves were sold by his mother. We made a deal though and she let me stay on the plantation with the children in the cooking house and Nigel, Carrie, Sarah and their children also stayed. I do my best everyday to protect those boys because its the only thing I know I can do here.
