Dana, Nigel, Carrie, Sarah and Hagar are singing to Joe who is now 11. They are in the cooking house in May celebrating his birthday. Sarah made him a cake and made a candle with a wood piece.

Joe is curious how long it has been since the day Dana started raising him ( The day Rufus Dies). Dana tells him shes not really sure but that she knows its been a long time. Sarah then offers to cut some cake for everyone to eat.
"Not sure Joe, A long time though"
"I"m 11 how much old am I know Since you been hear Dana?"
"Let me cut some of that cake so we can celebrate!"

8 years. I've been here for 8 years. Stuck in Time, not moving and I don't think i'm ever leaving
Dana realizes she has been stuck in the Antebellum South for 8 years. She doesn't tell the other out of her knowing they will not understand. She wonders everyday how much time in the real world has past and what Kevin is doing and if he's ok. She come to the conclusion that she is never leaving and that this is her new life.
