- Emily denied that her father died. "She told them that her father was not dead."

- He is not dead!
- Climax
- Emily fell in love with a man named Homer Barron and believe that they are meant to be. The townspeople start gossiping about their relationship.
- Falling Action
- Emily went to a druggist and demanded the strongest poison. She ended up buying arsenic that is meant for rats but she has other ulterior motives.
- Arsenic. I want the arsenic.
- If that is what you want...sure.
- The Baptist wife contacted Emily's cousin to help her by keeping an eye on her. The cousins tried to prevent her from marrying Homer Barron. Emily did not listen to her cousins and continue buying things for Homer Barron. The cousins eventually left the town after that.
- You were not living up to the standard of the families name!
- I do not care!
- Conclusion
- Resolution
- While looking around Ms Emily's home, the townspeople found a locked room and decided to open it. They found the missing Homer Barron's corpse with some grey hair beside it.
- Is that Homer Baron's corpse?!
- There is a long strand of grey hair beside his corpse too.
