- The water that we give to plants is transported by Xylem. Xylem are tube like tissues that through which water and minerals are transported.Xylem transports water and minerals from roots to leaves and other parts of plants.Transpiration is a process in which water is lost from leaf by stomata.The water is also pulled up by this method.
- The food prepared by plants by themselves during photosynthesis is transported by Phloem.Phloem is like a two way road it transports food from leaves to upper parts of plants and lower parts of plants.Translocation is the process through which food is delivered to parts of plants.Xylem and Phloem are called conducting tissues or vascular bundles.
