Today, Anna's celebrating her 21st birthday with her family! But Jared, her boyfriend of 1 year didn't show up! 
Jared was supposed to be here 2 hours ago! I can't believe he did this to me!!
Later that night, Anna finally gets a text from Jared, saying he had to stay late at work 
I can't believe Jared embarrassed me in front of my whole family  like that!
"Hey, sorry  I didn't make it to the party honey, I was working late "
She decides to confront him when she sees him the next day 
That sounds like a great plan!
I feel so upset and betrayed, when you promised to come to my birthday with my family! Without letting me know until after. 
I feel  defeated when you  don't let me voice my opinion, after what happened, and I can't explain my side 
Thank you. Like I said earlier, I was on my way to the party, but the hospital  called me in, and said they needed extra help. I should'e texted you earlier, but I totally forgot.
