This reminds me a lot of the situation that went down in Guatemala
Fine. We, the Soviet Union will be helping the MPLA communist group in this fight.
Okay. We will be aiding any anti-communist group in this Angola crisis. Along with training for both FNLA and UNITA that comes our way.
Soviet Union had decided to step in and help the communist-led groups to fight for power over Angola, while the U.S slipped their way in and helped by aiding supply and training for the fight occurring.

Everything has had an impact from this crisis. Even government buildings have been degraded.
Our faith in Detente with the Soviet Union has gone away with all this commotion...
