- Benvolio gets in a fight on the street with a Capulet servant and the kingsman Tybalt, the two funding families Montagues and Capulets get a death threat by the king if they continue to fight.
- Scene 4

- Romeo and Benvolio find one of Capulet's servants and help him read a list of people that are invited to the Capulet's party.
- Scene 5

- Juliet's mother, Lady Capulet, is trying to get Juliet to marry Pairs and wants her to meet him at their party  but Juliet is thinking about it.

- Romeo is talking with Mercutio and Benvolio about a dream he had last night that something bad was going to happen at the party and Mercutio was making fun of him for it.
- Romeo makes it to the party and sees, Juliet. he falls in love at first sight. As Romeo and Juliet kiss, Tybalt notices that Romeo is a Montague and he goes and tells the Capulet but he doesn't mind having Romeo at the party.
- This, by his voice, should be a Montague. Fetch me my rapier, boy. What dares the slave come hither
