- When Starr was at Maya's house, she and her friends stumbled across the interview with the dad of the cop that killed Khalil. The cop's dad portrayed his son as the victim, making Starr angry inside.

- "Brian's a good boy... He only wanted to get home to his family, and people are making him out to be a monster."

- Starr is talking to her Mom about how she is questioning her friendship with Hailey because of her racist remarks towards Maya and her, and also because of her not letting Starr do anything that she wants to do.
